Bishkek? Where the hell is Bishkek?

Hey everybody,

for the non German-speaking part of my family and friends I dicided to change the blog language to English (some posts may still be in German but I promise that this will be an exception!). So, for those who see my blog for the first time and for others, who didn't know yet but never dared to ask, where Kyrgyzstan and Bishkek actually are and in which remote part of the world I decided to spend the next six months, too :-) here comes a short introduction:















There are officially 5 Million people living in Kyrgyzstan, 1 Million in Bishkek, 1 Million (inofficially) in Russia in Kazakhstan and the other 3 Millions in the two other big cities (Osh and Jal-al-abad) and in the rest of the country. Please note that Kyrgyzstan ist about half the size of Germany!

So, I will be spending here 6 months on an internship in the German Technical Cooperation and it will be a pleasure to me (never would say this in German!) to let you take part in all (Ok, not all, but many) of the things I will encounter in this crazy country.
